Military Chief Rabbi
Duties

- Advise the Chief of General Staff and the General Staff units on matters pertaining to religion in the military.

- To issue advice and commands regarding religion in the military.

- To issue advice and commands regarding the instilment of religious values and traditions in the IDF units.

- Design and Implementation of religious services in the army regarding synagogues, marriage, Shabbat and holidays.

- Acquirement and provision of religious artifacts for religious units in the IDF.

- Cooperation with civilian religious institutions when needed.

- Issuing of directives in all things pertaining to the burying of soldiers and the dead according to Jewish law.

- Supervision of the implementation of the above mentioned directives by the military rabbinate corps.
