The 44 Disaster
Defense Minister Amir Peretz; Deputy Defense Minister Dr. Ephraim Sneh; MK Tzachi Hanegbi; IDF Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazi; the head of the Family and Perpetuation Branch in the Defense Ministry Aryeh Mualem; the head of the Yad Labanim organization; and the families of the 44 fallen soldiers who were killed in the helicopter crash in the Jordan Valley 30 years ago gathered to pay homage to their memory. "Thirty years after the disaster, and the pain does not lessen...The memory of the fallen is with us, and their absence only grows with the years."
