1978: Drafted to the IDF Artillery Corps.
1978-1989: Different commanding positions, among them - Chief Instructor in the Artillery Training School.
1982: Commanded a battery in Lebanon during Shlom Ha'Galil (the First Lebanon War).
1989-1990: Commander of the Reshef Battalion.
1990-1992: Commander of the Artillery Corps Commanders' School.
1995-1997: Commander of the Artillery Corps Training Center and Artillery Officer of the Northern Command.
1997-1999: Commander of the Artillery Corps Training School.
1999-2001: Head of the Strategic Planning Division in the IDF Planning Directorate.
2001- 2004: Home Front Command Execute Officer. 
2004-2009: Military Secretary of the Minister of Defense.

Maj. Gen. Dangot has a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Bar Ilan University.
Maj. Gen. Dangot is married to Orna Dangot and the father of four children.
