22 kg. Of Heroin and Cocaine Uncovered on the Northern Border

Earlier today, IDF forces and the Israeli Police thwarted a drug-smuggling attempt on the northern border, uncovering 22 kilograms of heroin and cocaine near the Israeli community of Sasa.
 
Forces identified two suspects throwing packages from the Lebanese side of the border into Israel, which were being received by another suspect.
 
IDF forces arrested the Israeli suspect who was found to be carrying a bag containing 22 kilograms of heroin and cocaine.
 
The suspect was relayed to the Israeli Police for further questioning.
 
The IDF operates along the State of Israel's borders in order to prevent any attempt to infiltrate the area and to harm Israeli civilians and IDF forces.
