Today, the Samaria Military Court delivered the verdict in the case of Fatna Abu-Ayash. Abu-Ayash, a Palestinian woman, was convicted of planning a terrorist attack, with other terror operatives, against an Israeli citizen. Abu Ayash planned first to meet with an Israeli acquaintance, to drug him with sleeping pills, to kidnap him and transport him to Nablus. There she was to transfer him to the hands of another terror operative who planned to murder the Israeli.
Abu-Ayash had arranged to meet the Israeli man in Tel Aviv, and was on her way to the meeting, with the sleeping pills in her possession, when she was arrested by security forces. The Military Court sentenced her to 15 years in prison, and an additional five years of probation.
