Today marked the conclusion of a week-long large-scale divisionary exercise in the Northern Command, which tested the different military forces and branches, both in regular service and reserves, in various combat scenarios.
The exercise displayed the successful implementation of the lessons learnt from the Second Lebanon War, past training exercises, and similar lessons learnt to those from operation Cast Lead.
The exercise simulated different combat scenarios that required the forces to use various field maneuvers while cooperating with ground, air, and naval forces, in order to properly operate and achieve the goals that were set.
The Defense Minister, Mr. Ehud Barak and the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi along with other senior officers visited the exercise.
