The IDF Spokespersons Unit is utilizing the opportunities afforded by "new media" platforms in order to improve accessibility to our information.

In addition to our YouTube channel, we have now opened a Twitter account.

The account is updated in real-time with all of the News Desk's beepers and text messages relating to operational events.

Additionally, "tweets" will include links to new pictures and official announcements posted online to our blog, and new IDF footage and videos released on YouTube. We will also provide facts, figures and statistics related to current and operational events.
