In response to the two Qassam rockets that hit a residential property and an industrial area in the Israeli city of Sderot this morning and the continuous firing of over 100 rockets and mortar shells since the holding of fire on January 18th, the Israel Air Force recently attacked five smuggling tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip border border area.

As the sole authority in the Gaza Strip, Hamas bears full responsibility for all terror originating within its area of control. The IDF will continue to respond to any attempts to destabilize Israel's South.
