During talks with the soldiers of Battalion 12 of the Golani Brigade, the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazi stressed the importance of keeping alert, fit and prepared during operations in the Gaza Strip and that all encounters with terrorist operatives should result in quick success.

The Lieutenant General thanked the commanders and combat soldiers for their hard work during operations to locate and neutralize terror operatives attempting to perpetrate attacks. He stated that the IDF that will continue to use any necessary legal means in order to halt terror attacks and the launching of Qassam rockets against the communities bordering the Gaza Strip.  The Chief of General Staff, accompanied by the GOC of the Central Command, Major General Yoal Galant, and a number of other commanders surveyed the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip and was briefed on a number of encounters with terrorist operatives in the area.
