IDF forces arrest suspects attempting to smuggle drugs from Egypt into Israel

On Sunday evening (Nov. 22), IDF forces thwarted an attempted drug smuggle into Israel. While patrolling the Israeli-Egyptian border, the forces identified a number of suspects crossing over into Israeli territory. The IDF soldiers alerted the suspects and when they were not given a response, opened fire at them. They identified hitting two of the suspects. The injured men were given initial medical treatment by the IDF soldiers.

In the belongings of the men, the soldiers uncovered bags with a substance that is suspected to be drugs. The suspects were transferred for questioning by security forces.
