Israeli Civilian Severely Injured by Firebombs

Palestinians hurled firebombs at his vehicle near Beit Hagay

On Saturday evening (Oct. 17), an Israeli civilian was critically injured when Palestinians hurled firebombs at the vehicle he was traveling in near the Israeli community of Beit Hagay. The civilian succeeded in arriving independently at a nearby junction and was then evacuated by a Magen David Adom ambulance to the hospital.

IDF forces are currently searching the area in order to locate those responsible for the incident.

Earlier during the day, Palestinian security forces expelled four Israeli citizens from the Palestinian city of Tulkarm who entered the city without permission. The Israelis were transferred to investigation by the Israeli Police.

A number of additional related threatening incidents occurred in the Judea throughout the day. During the afternoon, an injured Palestinian man arrived at an IDF base in the Jordan Rift Valley. He received initial medical treatment from the present IDF soldiers and was then transferred to hospital by an IDF helicopter. In addition to that, rocks were hurled at Israeli vehicles in two different incidents near Beit Ur al-Fauqa and near Surif. There were no casualties in either of the incidents, damage was caused to the vehicles.
