Ahmad Wasaf Sutki Abukanani was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Gregory Rabinowitz.
Ahmad Wasaf Sutki Abukhanini, wanted for his involvement in the murder of the Israeli taxi driver Gregory Rabinowitz on May 10th, 2009, was arrested on Monday in a joint IDF and ISA operation in the village of Arrana, northeast of Jenin.
He is suspected to be the third partner of Mahmad Haldi and Mahmad Udah, who admitted after being arrested and investigated on May 23rdú that they had strangled Rabinowitz to death on nationalistic grounds along with an additional accomplice. They claimed the murder was revenge for the killing of their relative, an Islamic Jihad operative who was involved in the execution of terror attacks inside the State of Israel.
The two also admitted that they planned to abduct an additional Israeli civilian. Abukhanini will be investigated by security forces.
